Troops
of the 52 Division serving in Point Pedro, Mirusuvil and Nunavil
areas once again took arms against the outbreak of dengue in their
areas in a big Shramadana campaign organized on 05th July.
The 52 Division
Headquarters this time elected Mirusuvil Government Tamil Mixed
school, Varani Sri Bharathi Vidyalaya and Ketpeli Pillayar Hindu
Temple to carry out the anti dengue campaign. Buildings and their
environment were cleaned and mosquito breeding places were demolished.
Civilians
who usually suffer from this deadly epidemic gave their fullest
support to the soldiers during the campaign.
Troops of
10th Gemunu Watch, 15th Gajaba Regiment and 10th Sri Lanka National
Guard participated in the Shramadana campaign.
