A Workshop on ‘Positive Thinking’ for Ex LTTE Members in Jaffna

A workshop on 'Positive Thinking' was conducted by Mrs. Rathna Pushpa Kumari, Director Social Solutions (Mind and Behavior), for Ex LTTE members at the National Sarvodaya Society Lecture Hall, Aryalai on 18th April 2017.

The workshop was organized by 7th Battalion Sri Lanka Army Women's Corps (7 SLAWC) on the direction of Major General Darshana Hettiarachchi, Commander Security Force, Jaffna in order to emphasize the importance of positive thinking and skill development to enhance their life styles. Especially, the event focused on developing mental and emotional attitude of ex LTTE cadres since it would make the people to go on the bright side of life and result in achieving their goals.

The soldiers of 7SLAWC had arranged required administrative support to encourage the session rich with practical exercises and demonstrations.

Further, Lanka Jathika Sarvodaya Sangamaya, Jaffna donated stationary items worth of Rs 21000.00 for the children of ex combatants. In the meantime, 7SLAWC distributed 40 T-shirts as New Year gifts for the children of Ex LTTE members.

In the end, 7SLAWC donated 2 packets of milk powder received from Fonterra Pvt Ltd for each family.

Mr. Srinivasan Yougendra, Sarvodaya District Coordinator, Jaffna and his staff gave their utmost assistance to make the event successful.
