Madihe Pannasiha Vidyalaya, Puttur Celebrates its Golden Jubilee

The opening ceremony of newly constructed 'Agga Maha Pandita Most Venerable Madihe Pannasiha Maha Nayaka Thea' memorial library was held on 17 November 2017 at Madihe Pannasiha Vidyalaya in Puttur.

To commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Madihe Pannasiha Vidyala, the new library was declared opened to the school children with the blessing of Maha Nayaka of the Amarapura Sri Dharmarakshita Nikaya, Most Venerable Trincomalee Ananda Thero. Hon. Reginold Cooray, the Governor of the Northern Province attended the event as the Chief Guest.

The event was organized and coordinated by the troops of 52 Division upon the directions of Major General Dharshana Hettiarachchi, Commander Security Forces (Jaffna). During the ceremony, stationary items were donated to 45 Students and Similarly, gift packs were presented to the Principal and the other teachers of the school in order to appreciate their service.
