Army Continues Coastal Conservation Efforts in Jaffna Peninsula

Planting of 200 coconut seedlings by the Army troops took place along the coast of Myladdi in Jaffnaon 18th July 2018.The programme was organized by the 515 Brigade in continuation of a green concept initiated by The Commander Security Force - Jaffna to conserve the coastline of the Jaffna Peninsula in consultation with the Coast Conservation Department.

The Commander Security Force - Jaffna, Major General Darshana Hettiarrachchigraced the event as the Chief Guest. General Officer Commanding 51 Division, Major General Roshan Senevirathna, Additional Secretary (Land) of the GA's office in Jaffna, Divisional Secretary - Theleppalai, members of the Coast Conservation Department were among the other invitees who took part in this environmental conservation effortalong with a large number of Army personnel.
