Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna Pays Tribute to Departed Retired Non Commissioned Officer

GRetired Corporal Sabharathnam SS of the 1st Reconnaissance Regiment Sri Lanka Armoured Corps passed away at his residence in Jaffna on 04 March 2019. He retired from the Sri Lanka Army after completing 22 years of reckonable service.

The Non Commissioned Officer had joined the Sri Lanka Army on 09th July 1958 and was posted to the 1st Reconnaissance Regiment Sri Lanka Armoured Corps. He had been awarded the Republic of Sri Lanka Armed Services Medal, Sri Lanka Army 25th Anniversary Medal, Ceylon Armed Services Long Service Medal and President's Inauguration Medal for his invaluable service to the motherland.

The funeral ceremony of the late Corporal Sabharathnam SS held conducted at St. John Cemetery in Kopai with Military honours. General Officer Commanding 51 Division, and a large number of Army Personnel were present at the funeral.
