The annual 'Katina Pooja' of the Sri Naga Viharaya - Jaffna was held on Saturday 9th November 2019 and Sunday 10th November 2019 with the guidance of Viharadhikari Shasthrapathi Ven. Meegahajandure Siriwimala Thero. The Dhamma sermon and religious activities were followed by the 'Katina Cheevara Pooja' (ritual offering of new robes) which was brought from the Headquarters 512 Brigade and offered to the Maha Sanga. The alms-giving (morning and afternoon) and offering of Atapirikara to Bhikkus marked the culmination of the Pinkama. More than 2,000 people attended to the dansela (free eatery stall) organized by 513 Brigade and 5 Sri Lanka Army Service Corps on Sunday 10th November 2019 during the afternoon hours.

The annual event was organized by the 51 Division upon instructions and patronage of Commander Security Forces - Jaffna Major General Ruwan Wanigasooriya. Few donors also provided financial support towards success of the annual 'Katina Pooja which was of the highest standard.

Religious Dignitaries, Commander Security Forces - Jaffna, General Officers Commanding 51, and 55 Divisions, Brigadier General Staff and Brigadier Admin and Quartering Security Forces - Jaffna, Army Personal including Senior Officers, Officers from Air Force, Police, Senior Government officials and private sector officials were present at the event to witness the spectacular processionl.
